Patrol Squadron 46 (VP-46)

In 1988 I was selected to attend Naval Aircrew Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida.  Upon graduation, I took orders to Patrol Squadron 46 (VP -46), based at Naval Air Station (NAS) Moffett Field in Mountain View, California.  I received my Naval Air Crewman qualification in the P-3C Orion aircraft and headed up the aerial photographic program for Wing 10. Deployments made while attached to this command were to Diego Garcia (1988), Misawa Japan (1989-90), DET Panama (1990), and Cupi Point, Republic of the Philippines (1991).
