Just had our engagement photo session over the weekend with Eddie and it was wonderful! He has a wonderful eye, and was flexible, prompt, and personable. He is a great communicator and really listened to what we wanted, and then he went out of his way to make it happen. He took his time with us and made us comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Saw the first few shots already and they are awesome! Can’t wait to have him photograph the wedding in December!

We had a great experience with Eddie as our wedding photographer! His low price fit our budget, and he offered more services to us than we had originally planned on purchasing (engagement pictures, wedding pictures, and post wedding pictures.. all in the same package!). Needless to say, we were quite impressed. He’s very flexible, available, and always on top of things, and he’s very dedicated to making sure the job gets done well. He spent over 13 hours taking pictures for us and didn’t charge extra. Also, we received a framed picture of our favorite shots from both the engagement photo shoot and our wedding day, and when it was all said and done, we received all of the pictures on 2 flashdrives with print rights. He made the experience very convenient for us. Not to mention he was always on time, he did not overstep the photography limitations at our church, and the quality of the pictures were right in line with the price we paid. In general he’s an awesome guy to work with. We are very happy that we chose Eddie to be our wedding photographer!

Eddie was very professional. He had a creative spark that no other photographer can match. He was fun to work with even when we had situations with weather that were not ideal during our engagement shoot. He was not obtrusive during the wedding or reception. He gave everyone clear instructions to the wedding party on what we wanted. He is highly organized and punctual. He bent over backwards for us and we absolutely LOVE our wedding photos.

Eddie Martens and Visual Masterworks were one of the best choices we made in planning our wedding. Not only did it easily fit in the budget, but Eddie was fantastic in helping us through the process and making sure we captured all the critical moments at a time when we obviously had lots of other things on our minds. He did engagement/family photos, and spent the entire day documenting the wedding party getting ready in addition to the ceremony and reception. And all for a price much less than any other quotes we got, plus we got full rights to our photos! Overall, my wife and I have agreed that even if we had a million dollars to spend on our wedding, Eddie would still be our first choice. We can’t recommend him highly enough!

Eddie Photographed my wedding this Past September (2012), and was absolutely amazing! He is reliable, but by no means boring and gave us a sense of calm and confidence. Eddie kept in touch with me from the time that we booked him until the day of the wedding, and even afterwards as he was editing pictures. For me, the amount of communication was key. I knew that when our big day rolled around we would be on the same page, and I never got the feeling that we were just another wedding on his schedule. It was so cool to me that as he was editing our photos he would send a few favorites, because I’ve had friends that waited MONTHS before they saw any of their wedding photos! And his turn around on getting us all of the photos was pretty quick.
Eddie went above and beyond to make sure we would get what we wanted. He even came to the rehearsal to get photos of that and to get a feel of our venue/the lighting/where the best area to stand was/ect ect. He asked us what kind of shots we wanted and tried to get to know my husband and I better so he could better play up who we are in the photos. The ease with which he interacted with our families was so appreciated. We have large, mixed families and Eddie was so patient with all the combinations of people we needed photos with. He made photo taking a fun experience, even for our 6 year old flower girl! When we got to the reception he made sure that we got photos with every single person there, which was huge since there were almost 100 people!
The photos themselves were also amazing. There are lots of fun photos, sweet photos, traditional photos, tear-jerker photos, and photos that I have no idea how he even came up with the idea! My husband and I are so happy with the amount and quality of photos we have to remember our wedding by. Eddie did some really wonderful things with editing the photos. He went as far as to clear out telephone lines/poles in outside shots, cleaned up fuzz that was on the floor in one specific shot that I had my heart set on getting, and add some extra sparkle to my “bling”. His eye for detail with editing is uncanny.
I was so grateful for Eddie because he was so creative with the photos and made the experience a fun and relaxing one. The photography was one thing that I felt I didn’t have to stress over because I knew I could trust Eddie, and he definitely delivered! Not that I will personally need a wedding photographer again, but should I need a photographer for any other event Eddie will be the first person I call. I will also, without hesitation, recommend him to any friends that get engaged!
I don’t think you could go wrong with booking Eddie as your wedding photographer.

Every bride dreams of having a beautiful wedding and wanting something to remember that special occasion. Photographs capture one of the most speechless moments… exchanging one another’s vows and to love each other until death do us part. Eddie Martens fulfilled that role in our wedding as our photographer.
Eddie’s prices was what initially peaked my interest. Then I looked at his photographs and I knew for what his prices where and his work, it couldn’t be beat. When talking to him over the phone and even in person he was always positive and really wanted to capture “you”. He gave his professional opinion, but was so open to any other ideas and suggestions that you would have. For me, I was constantly on Pinterest and looking at wedding photography. I would email him my ideas and the pictures, and we worked together to capture my husband and I’s engagement / wedding. I highly recommend him not only for his pricing, but for his professionalism. Thank you again Eddie for the beautiful photographs of capturing a special moment in our life.
